“Ordinary Whales Vol.6: Shinnecock Indian Nation, Long Island” Sakura Koretsune
The publication “Ordinary Whales” collects stories about whales from people living in various places. This publication is woven with texts and embroideries based on these stories. Someday, these collected words will cover the world like a patchwork quilt, revealing an unforeseen image of humans and whales together. “Ordinary Whales” Vol. 6, the latest volume of the publication series, focuses on stories shared by members of Shinnecock Indian Nation on Long Island, NY, U.S.A. while Sakura Koretsune visited there in 2019.
